Aside from the dangers of economic impact (i.e. inflation) I for
one will be sitting in my MG laughing at all of my neighbors
with Ford Expeditions whilst the price of fuel climbs. Maybe
even Range Rovers will loose value in the (keeping my fingers
crossed) anti-SUV movement that follows, and alloy block V-8s
will be more available for those of us who want to put them
in their correct place.
Del Mar, California: I recently paid $1.53/gallon for 87 octane (for
the RX-7, it'll burn anything!). Do I complain? Not really, but then
I'm one of those guys who has purchased turbo blue before. I'm used
to paying a lot for car fluids.
