I cannot find the info. in any of my books regarding the gas peddle. When
I lift up on it, until the "stop plate " on the bar meets the bolt end, on
what I assume is there for that purpose (one never knows in these LBC's).
I have about 1 inch (2.5 cm) between the ball at the end of the accelorator
cable and the bottom of the peddle bar. Is there a spec. out there that
gives a distance? Do these cables stretch that much over the years?
If so, can the cable on it be reworked with some added material to make a
new ball end or install a new cable.
The car is an 80' LE so I have not a clue to the life span of the cable.
