I've been spending a lot of time over on the Spridgets list lately, and
thought I should get back on MGs, so I just dropped the digest version to get
instant gratification again.

I was talking with a friend at my church last weekend. I had an MG T-shirt
on and he asked if I had an MG. I, of course told him all about my '77
Midget and my involvement in SCCA. He said that he has a '59 MGA in boxes in
his garage. He has had the thing for 11 years. He worked on it for about 6
months after he got it and gave up! (He could have used a resource like this
list!)

That got me thinking. (Look out!) I wonder just how many more LBCs are
laying around like this. We talked for a while about cars and he said that
his son really wants him to work on the car again. I am going to give him
some info on the lists and also on SCCA to see if I can help him get
motivated.

Anyone know how many MGAs were made, how many were exported to the USA, and
how many are still running (or close to running!) here? I'm just curious
about the percentage. It might be interesting to see if LBCs are still
running in a larger percentage than other popular sports cars of a bygone
era. (Yugo?)

Pardon me if I wax rhapsodic from time to time.
