The only thing that I know of that resembles a CV BOOT are your steering rack 
boots. If these are slit, the gear oil in the rack will leak out and your 
rack will get very stiff. You will need to turn off your tie rod ends and 
unclamp your boots to change. Count your turns when you unscrew the rod ends 
(Toe in alignment will change if you don't). Good Luck
