Has anyone had problems in the recent heat with their coil getting hot and
killing the ignition system?
I have a brand new 12V coil in the 77 and it is ballasted, I also have a 25D
points distributor. This weekend on the way to the Red Mill show in Clinton,
NJ - the car decided to quit, it figures doesn't it!!
I installed a Lucas 40K Volt coil on my 79B a couple of years back, and the
instructions said to remove the ballast resistor, which I did.
Everything works fine.
Just my $.02 FWIW.
