If you really want to reuse your cooler, try to cut through the hose "B"nuts
with a hack saw or cutoff wheel (Air vane or dremel). The fittings normally
twist right off in front of your eyes when you put a wrench to them. Mine had
to be replaced after they twisted off, but I was rebuilding the engine and
was not planning to use the old cooler anyway due to you can never get them
clean internally. Try some pentrating oil: KROIL, LIQ Wrench, WD. The heat
generated from the cutoff wheel should also help break them free. Good Luck!!
