Hi Kelvin,

Recently, I bought a Moss handbrake cable for my '69 B wire wheel
roadster from your company, thru Classic Restorations. After installing
it (the original had broken at the adjusting stud), I found that I had
to run the adjusting nut all the way to the rear end of the threaded
stud in order to take up enough slack for the brakes to engage firmly.
I asked George Merryweather to ask Moss if there had been any problems
with that particular cable as to length but what he did was send
another to me on the assumption that I had received the wrong one. The
two new cables are the same length and are approximately the same length
as the old one, which was also adjusted at the rear end of the stud
threads.

Have you run across this problem before? Should I attribute this to
elongation of holes at several points and/or worn brake shoes? The rear
brake shoes look OK although I haven't miked them for total thickness.

  TIA
