Subject: Easy question

I'm attempting to replace the front wheel bearings on my wire-wheeled '79,
but discovered that I don't own a socket large enough to fit the nut inside
the hub. I'm sure someone out there remembers what size that nut is, so I
can buy the correct one. It appears to be between 1", and 1-1/4". Thanks
in advance.
