Armor All

I'm a bit behind on the digest... hope my response is timely.

I've heard that Armor All is generally bad for anything that sits in the sun
because it has an oily base which actually cuts off the oxygen to whatever
it has been applied to and acts as an insulator, thereby intensifying the
heat and causing damage sooner than if nothing had been applied. My current
"other" vehicle is an '87 Mazda pickup (bought new) which has spent 12 years
in the California sun... no Armor All, not a crack to be seen.
