Fuel tank Varnish

I tried cleaning my fuel tank this past weekend and found that removing the
internal rust was a piece of cake ...BUT...The hardened varnish in the
bottom remained untouched! Is there a product over the counter that will
remove this thick hardened layer of Real old gas?!

Any help is greatly appreciated.
