paint advice needed

I am in the process of readying my 73 B for paint.  I have the body stripped
and disassembled (meaning hood off, doors off, trunk lid off, front fenders
off) and I was wondering if I should paint the pieces and re-assemble or
re-assemble and then paint?  I have seen it done both ways but never having
done it my self I was wondering about the advantages/disadvantages.  As
usual any input would be greatly appreciated.
