At this time the concept is still just germinating. Like most, I don't have
spare cash or time.
I want to stay current with what is going on in performance upgrades. The
Electromotive system is a fascinating application of computer technology to
engine management. The TWM throttle bodies are a great application of
modern technology to early engine performance systems. Combined, dare I say
it......

I was planning on assembling my X-flow head and setting it on my
file cabinet at work. Kind of a reminder of fun times to come. I need that
when I have to complete a daily driver car first. I had the DCOE manifold,
and just acquired a pair of 40DCOE carbies. I had been hassling Gary at TWM
to loan me a Halmeter so I could fiddle with the mixture of my V6 BGT (which
is running like a lame dog again). Whilst visiting TWM I noticed a pile of
DCOE replacement throttle body assemblies. The throttle bodies are shorter
than a DCOE, and it ocurred to me that fender clearance would be better for
real air filters. (This is not the case, as the fuel rail makes up the
difference). Anyways, I wondered if there may be some defective castings
that I could play with. The thought of tantalizing MG owners did come to
mind.

        Ok, so I am perverse.

What is worse is that I am pretty set on putting my MGA mechanically
together without doing any paint or bodywork. Mainly because I can wrench,
but not do the level of bumping necessary to do the job correctly.
Something about the concept of opening the hood of a bent and battered
multicolored pile of junk, to show a sparkling fully developed engine. It's
the same mentality that makes me want to build my MGB V8 so that it looks
totally stock.

So those are the thoughts. As far as the practice, I spent last
night sorting through boxes of valve springs and caps. I think I have the
world collection of MGB valve spring caps. I've got a quart baggie full of
each of the 3 different MGB types.

I killed another black widow on the Magnette, and rolled her into
the center of the garage. That was after terrorizing the neighborhood with
a couple of hot laps in the race car before stashing it back into the
trailer.

Next?

Bill, Ya got a spare twinkie head I can play with? 2.0Liter bottom
end, twin cam head, twin DCOE throttle body, Sebring supercharger. Computer
engine management.
