Anybody hear the five finalists for "Car of the Century"? this morning on NPR?
Supposed to be a car that changed lives, innovated, had influence on other
cars, etc.
They were:
Ford Model T
Citroen (can't remember the model)
Porsche 911
VW Beetle
Mini (and it's several iterations)
I suppose the Model T will win in the end, but it would have been nice to have
an MG on the list, woudn't it? I can't figure out the Porsche - I would have
thought that the token sports car would be the Jaguar XKE......
I'm rooting for the Mini.
