This person is correct that you can do all of these things with alcohol, but 
it takes more energy to make alcohol than you get out of it.  So unless you 
have a still that runs on air this would be a net loser.

PS alcohol fueled cars aren't new, Ford model T and A had a car that could be 
switched to run on Alcohol
