Which country would you like??

UK spec engines used an AE piston #18802 published as 8.7:1
US spec engines used an AE piston #19354 published as 8.0:1

The Peter Burgess book is based on UK information.

Actual compression ratings are going to depend on what head you use
and what head modifications. The 73-74 US spec Austin Marina heads for
instance had the larger intake valves, that would change compression
slightly.
