On CBS' sitcom "The King of Queens", Doug, the main character, is shown as
his younger self. While driving a friend home, I can't help but notice they
were in a roadster with the familiar three wiper blades across the
windscreen. Lo and behold, it was a rubber bumper white B, top down and
non-working heat. I have to give the show credit for not dubbing in some
generic engine noise (ever notice every time you see a sports car on tv,
regardless of origin, it always sounds like a Chevy small block V-8?). Well,
there was no mistaking the engine sound, it was pure MGB.
