I don't know about a B, but I did this on my A using a stop light switch
(from a 70's era chevy or GM car) I purchased at a NAPA store. I asked
the counterman what they had in the way of mechanical stop switches and
that was the best of the lot. I had to fabricate a bracket for it out of
heavy guage sheet metal, not too difficult a job if I remember. Took
about an hour or so. It fits quite well, is adjustable, and can't be
seen without crawling under the dash. The lights now come on as soon as
I push the pedal a slight distance off its stop. The a**holes in the
SUV's now have an earlier warning and I feel a little safer. My
hydraulic switch also wouldn't work unless the wheels were just about
locked up AND it was the second new one in less than a year. Oh yeah,
one other thing, the price of the switch was UNDER $10!
