Brad: The real point I was trying to make in our discussion about engine
cleaning,
weather one chooses to use oven cleaner or commercial solvents, is caution
should be exercised. In my 53 years on this planet I have seen many a
"novice" through either inexperience or ignorance destroy the very thing
that they had hoped to preserve. As for household chores (you had suggested
I volunteer to clean my wife's oven), in our home, these tasks are not
gender specific. I have cleaned ovens, floors, walls and yes, I do windows.
As I also have a woodworking shop and build Shaker furniture, oven cleaner
is most effective in removing pitch from my saw blades. Many thanks for your
contributions to the list. Your tips have proved to be worthwhile.
