First, pregnant women and ALL children can stay the hell away from the race 
track when I am racing if they don't want to risk damage, and second, this 
thread has chugged on too long while for the most part missing the point.

MGs don't run on because of a requirement for high octane gas, they run on 
because they have a lousy head design, an even poorer standard of finish on 
the head itself (a few minutes at the factory with a high speed grinder would 
have relieved 90% of the hot spot problems). With a clean (non-carboned) head 
you can run 10:1 on pump unleaded without problem. Anyone with lower 
compression than this that is looking to avgas or any other high octane fuel 
is just fooling themselves - the high test stuff burns slower and gives LESS 
power guys.

street Fiero at 8.5 with 13 psi boost on 92 (and knock sensor).
