Well, it ain't pretty, but without a special tool the only way I could
get this nut off and back on was with a cold chisel on the corner of one
of the flats.  It will put a little gouge in the nut, but what the hell,
no one can see it!  Note the pitch of the threads, I think they are
reversed on the right side. 

If your axle is the same as on my '65 you will need a press to get the
bearing out of the hub. Take it to a machine shop if you don't have one.
