Tom,

     I recall acquiring a 3/4" breaker bar (and socket) for that same
operation.  It also took liberal applications of the 'blue wrench' to break the
nut loose.  I seem to recall that the torque spec. is something on the order of
150 ft-lbs.  Banjo axles were right/left thread, but I'm pretty certain that
tubed type are all right hand thread.  As a check, I just looked in Moss ---
there's only one part number (125-670) for NUT, axle shaft.  Good luck.
