The best steak I have ever eaten was in a quiet pub a few miles north of
Bedford (about 60 miles north of London). Now, if I could just remember the
name of the pub and the village......
Even better than anything I ate while I lived in Texas!
But you really must try the various dishes with Suet pastry: steak and
kidney pudding (different to steak and kidney pie), spotted dick or other
types of suet pudding. VERY HEAVY on the calories, but very enjoyable also.
