Steve, the 78 came with an auto choke, so this was retrofitted. As far as
whether this is a good or bad thing - I suspect most on the list would say
'good' however I have had zero problems starting my 76 with the auto
choke. (This assumes that the car has the standard single Z-S carb....
Does it? Or has it been replaced with a Weber or dual SU's?).
