hope the below is of use to many:
regarding your distributor...this will probably work
i would heat the cam of the dist, and then place it into a container of
the below mixture,,,not to much heat because one of the ingredients is
acetone and very volatile
flames/booms not allowed...except at my shop under supervision , and
only on special hoildays
premix the below solution, pour in a suitable container, that can be
sealed, from the top
heat your cam , and place in the mix ...i dont know why it works, it
just does...
the secret is have a closed container as the acetone evaporates rapidly
the below is from a Hawaiian shade{'palm'} tree mechanic that could
repair anything, who shared this most secret home made rusted parts
relase agent
this is a home-fomulated anti-sieze fluid that has saved me many hours
of grief, broken bits, etc
mix equal parts of type f, or g,'thinest' automatic transmission fluid,
with acetone...
you have to shake it vigorously, to "homogenize' it
works great squirted down frozen piston cylinders[then replace the
plugs], and then let sit, before breaking free the stuck rings, by
moving back and forth, slightly the crank shaft nut...increasing
distance in both directions...if you meet resistance, add more of the
blend, and wait awhile...patience saves the part
