You can clean the plugs and have them tested while connected outside the
engine.
See if they spark.
Beware of the gas fumes though - these are easily ignited! - block the gas
supply while doing this trick!

Jason,
    Before you tare your engine apart for a complete rebuild, I would first
pull the plugs and see if the electrodes are saturated with gas. There is a
good chance they are over saturated.(flooded) Replace the plugs with
new,gapped ones ,9NYC.  Then check your engine ground, battery condition and
make sure the starter is bolted on tightly.
Its got to be in these areas if in fact you haven't touched anythingelse.
