Dan:

When a regular automotive recycler purchases an LBC, the fast moving
parts get pulled by a few customers. Then the rest of the car, with many
hard to find parts is crushed to make way for a Yugo.

If a LBC speciality company buys a scrapped LBC. All of the hard to
find parts are normally pulled, examined, tagged then stocked. Many are
rebuilt, and there is much less waste.

The specialized fasteners, fittings and rebuildable components
salvaged have a high cost in man-power and storage. The price charged by
the speciality company will tend to reflect this.

Be thankful that there are specialty dismantlers, and that they
continue to offer the knowledge and service that keep this hobby alive.
Support your British Scrapyard. When they are gone, they will never be
replaced.
