The $180 is for a reproduction of the costly-to-too-and-expensive-to-make
original, self-canceling switch. You certainly don't need that unless you
are trying to keep your car looking original.
A very viable option is the non-self-canceling switch used on EXU TCs, which
can be mounted on the face of the dash and has a warning light in its
center. These sell for $75. Alternatively, any 3-position switch can be
used. We recently fitted a $5.00, illuminated toggle switch from the local
parts house for a "budget-minded" customer.
BTW, don't forget that most Moss Distributors on the list sell at Moss List
less 10 %....................
