Seriously, the only way to get any return on your investment is from the
pleasure of driving the car, you will not come close to recouping your
investment.

Check the prices on
http://www.mgcars.org.uk/class/North+AmericaCFS.html, and the various
club classifieds (links are on http://www.mgcars.org.uk) as well to get
some idea of value, or a reserve price if you put it on Ebay. 

People tend to value what shows more than what doesn't, so mechanical
repairs don't necessarily make it more valuable or easier to sell.  It
sounds like it needs some paint and body work, and that is a major
undertaking when done right, so price accordingly.

If you still have it in July, display it in the for sale section at the
ABFM in Bellevue, and again in September on Labor Day at the Portland
ABFM.

Spring is the time to be selling, so good luck!

P.S., let me know when you decide what you want for it, maybe my
daughter will buy it instead of restoring her '72!.
