Well, now that I am an owner of vast experience (three years now) I will
offer an opinion.
The pump in my 'B when I first bought it caused me to plead with this
list about 'woodpecker' killing. It worked but was noisy as heck.
I changed to an SU pump and have been happy with it for over two years
and that includes racing and a 2000km drive. It hasn't let me down at
all and is QUIET. 30 months may not be long in the life of this 32 year
old beastie but I can't see any reason why I wouldn't recommend an SU.
