My parents purchased one of the Chevy wagons just after
they changed to the bulbous shape. It amused me at the
time that its empty weight was 6 lbs. over the "anti-truck"
weight limit on some local roads.
The GM B-bodies (Caprice/Impala/Roadmaster/Olds 88/etc.)
have gotten revised sheet metal every so often (lets see,
around '90, then around '77, then around '71 or so, and
at leat one iteration in '6?...) but it is exactly the
same frame rails, cart springs and block as in the early
1960's. So the 93 Roadmaster is a classic, even though only
8 years old!
