Hi Walt,

  The power to the headlights come to the front from the dimmer switch
on two separate circuits; hi beam - low beam.  There is a wire that goes
to a bullet connector from the dimmer switch.  The bullet connector is a
one wire in - two wires out connector.  You've seen them elsewhere in
the car; little black female bullet receptacles.  Male connectors plug
into them, one wire on one side two on the other.  That'll be your
culprit, most likely.  Since both beams share the ground at each
headlight and the low beams are OK, the power input is the most likely
fault.  

  As I recall from my CBB, the connectors are in the harness in front of
the radiator.
