Sorry folks, I'll be driving the van rather than the MG. One of the
things I need to do is drive Mom from Garibaldi to Portland for a
doctor's appointment and I don't think she could crawl over the roll
cage when she's not feeling well. Besides, for driving up I-5 in
summer, aircon is nice to have.
It's too bad we never have any warning about family emergencies. It
would have been tempting to try to make the double regional race in
Portland this weekend.
I did have a blast at Thunderhill last weekend. I can honestly say
that I passed a Viper, on the racetrack, during an open passing
session. Granted, he was caught in traffic and with 8 liters felt no
need to pass in the turn with a convenient straight just ahead. And
yes, once he did get around the traffic on the straight he went past
me like I was chained to a tree, but what the hell, not everyone gets
the chance to pass a Viper on the racetrack with an MGBGT.
