hardtop mounting

This may seem a bit simple.... but
how/what is the mechanism for mounting a hardtop
on a Spridget?  I assume the HT would have to have something
similar to the rag top at the top of the windshield,
but what/how would they attach to at the back of the car
and or on the sides, rear of the windows??
