Keith:

If you are planning to use a lowering block kit on the rear of the
car, then there will not be a problem with a tube shock kit.

The lower mounting on the shock kit attaches to the spring mount.
Lowering blocks raise the axle assembly off the spring, but do not affect
the spring position.

If you lower the rear of the car by installing de-arched or reverse
ear springs, then the shocks may bottom out, requiring relocation of the
lower mounting or a shorter shock.

I ran into this a couple of months ago when I removed the lowering
blocks from my race car and installed correctly lowered springs. I had to
install extended lower brackets to prevent the Spax shocks from bottoming.
Lots of fun with a rat tail file slotting the U bolt holes to fit the banjo
axle tube.
