Thanks for the spot on post by Stewart - thats what I call a technical
breakdown!

I think its possible to discount misaligned stater shafts and bendix
disengagement as three starters have gone thru the same probs, cant all be
duff reconditionning. This puts the ring gear into suspicion. I just cant
bear the thought of expenses, the cost of Handi-plasts and Painkillers are
in themselves going to equal the replacement with a new 1375/1300 MG engine!

Not looking forward to removing the engine, gonna be too much ###, cant
trust local MG garage either. I have all the Haynes and MG manuals here, see
if I can use those.
