We have a large Islamic center here in my town, which is currently
requesting permission from our Township for an expansion. I will be very
interested to see this process unfold. Personally, on the one hand, I feel
like we may always have to pay some price to maintain our freedoms. OTOH,
I think about the large population of non-citizens in my area, mostly
Indian, and think, I would just like them all to get the hell out of here
and go home. They get the benefits of our lifestyle but perform none of
the duties. Pretty xenophobic and hard to reconcile, but not when I think
about the emotional damage that will be done to my brother as he attends
the funeral(s) for his 200+ fellow NY firefighters that are missing and
presumed dead.
I'm ready to get back to MG's and say 'screw you' to the terrorists.
