Geee... writing 'serious' stuff early on Saturday morning is dangerous...

I got called to the phone then came back and seemingly reversed my
position mid-email-stream...

The following should have read:

COMPULSORY elections usually lead to:

3) The poor and lesser educated being motivated to to vote
4) A vote closer to a majority of the population (hence a mandate)
5) Less chance of people feeling disenfranchised and 'left out' of the
governing processes (and whinging about the government they get).


LET'S TALK MG!  IT IS A HELL OF A LOT SAFER!
