Have these absorbers topped up at 10,000 miles interval with motorcycle
front fork oil
Check for leakage every 5,000 miles

Check for wear can be done when the arm is loosened from the kingpin.
Move the arm and feel for all the same resistance in the full travel way the
arm can make.
It's obvious the arm will show wear in the part where it is moving normally
first. It then it is time to take action.

Cheers,

Hans

Hi,

Is there a tutorial on the net that explains the functionality, rebuild
and maintenance of the "Armstrong Lever Shock Absorbers" used on MGs ???

Regards,
Joe
