Hi all,

Just a couple of refinements on this issue:

If you have a deepish parts cleaning tank, you can make it recycle. Just rig
up a 5/16 inch outlet tube about 1 inch from the bottom of the tank and
attach an old SU (or any other) fuel pump, with the feed pipe going to one
of those brushes they sell for 'real' cleaning tanks. This works well with
paraffin (NOT PETROL), given a 12v supply with possible sparks well out of
the way. You also need a line filter upstream of the pump - get a stock in
and replace the filter regularly.

For pumped or static tanks, it's a good idea to fix up a mesh grille (one
out of a kitchen grille pan will do), aboout 1.5 inches high. That way, the
majority of the c**p sinks and stays out of the paraffin.

Cheers,

Dave Hill
