crackle paint on Mk I metal dashes.

Recently there was a post about Rustoleoum textured spray paint used on Mk. I
metal dashes. Well, I tried it and found the "crackle" too fine or small. I
remember it being originally much larger from the '64 MGB I bought back in
'65.

Does anyone have any other suggestion for do-it-yourselfers who want to paint
their Mk. I's metal dashes??
