My '78 MGB did this to me once....I had bled and flushed the brake system and 
refilled with new Castrol....only I refilled the reservoir too high. After a 
couple of pumps of the pedal, the fluid had heated up and expanded enough 
that the front calipers would not release. Rapidly fixed by removing a few 
cc's of fluid from the reservoir and allowing the system to cool.
