Just another suggestion.  Sometimes the capillary bulb will seize in the
head even after the nut has been undone.  Don't try to pull on the capillary
tube!  Take the thermostat cover off and press the bulb out carefully by
using a leather wrapped small pry bar.

Always use antiseize, and do not overtorque the thermo housing or bulb
fastenings.


I normally use regular Permatex antiseize which has a silver color from the
aluminum, graphite and molybdenum additives.  I had no idea that there was a
nickel version.  Live and learn.
