Hope it is, but overfilling usually 'corrects' itself whilst it is getting
up to temp.  If it only vomits after you switch it off that indicates there
is a local hot-spot which when the flow of coolant ceases causes the
pressure in the system to rise above that of the cap.  If it does it again
try replacing the cap, they do weaken over time.
