My wife and I went to a car show in Tulsa in January (I think) where an
example of almost every vehicle sold in the U.S. was available for our
grubby hands. The Jags were locked tight though :(
Anyway, I made a point to sit in every open sportscar available. It was
the first (and last) time I would sit in a Porsche Boxster and a Mazda
Miata. I'm a large frame guy and the Porsche was obviously made for a thin
person. The Mazda was made for a short, thin person. The Audi you mention,
called a "TT" I think, was comfortable, looked sporty, and just seemed
rock solid. I would gladly own either the coupe or roadster version, both
looked and felt awesome.
I don't remember the little BMW roadster being available, so other than its
classic look, I can't vouch for it. But as it stands, the Audi gets my
vote as far as comfort and solid feel. Performance? Who knows. They were
all stationary.
