Two Questions

All,

1.  The dipstick on my '72 O/D tranny reads "low".  What quantity of oil
should I put in?

2.  The exterior rubber on my GT, especially that holding in the fixed glass,
is not cracked, but it is dry, brittle, and chalky.  What is the best way to
slow further deterioration?
