Recently I've noticed a *Clunk* coming from the back end of my 69 MG BGT
when I accelerate. There is a definite slack on acceleration and braking.

I've also noticed that something is binding in the rear end. When I come to
a stop at a noticable gradient I can let my foot of the brake and the car
won't move. If I put it in gear and let off the clutch a little I can hear
that same *Clunk* and the car will release and roll forward. Is this related
to the drive shaft?

I'm going to climb under it this weekend and see if I can rotate the drive
shaft with my hand. I'm guessing that either the drive shafts' U-joints are
bad or I have a problem with the differential. Opinions?

Thanks,
Geoffeg
