Apologies in advance for length:

I just received the Victoria British catalog and noticed two striking
differences from the Moss Motors catalog. First, if both are companies
are using British Motor Heritage as the body parts supplier, why does VB
carry more replacement panels than Moss (specifically the interior body
panels and supports)? Second, is there a reason VB has lower prices?
Does VB use more reproduction or lower grade parts than Moss? As far as
customer service is concerned, I understand the price difference.
Moss is very helpful and will bend over backwards to get the answer and
right part. VB will not offer any technical assistance at all. I
wanted to know the exact dimensions of a rear quarter patch panel and
was told by VB that my body shop would have to answer those questions.
How would my body shop know that!?! My body shop would have to call VB
to get that answer or just order the part. Wait a sec, I am my body
shop!
Endless loop ensues.
Moss walked someone to the warehouse and physically measured the part
for me. So I understand the QOS vs $$$ difference. I just don't get
the difference in supplies of parts. Any explanation would be
appreciated.
