The last bottom hose I bought for the V8 was just plain rubber, but my
supplier warned me of it and said they only lasted a couple of years but
were the best he could get at the time. It exploded in spectacular fashion
on my drive just after I had returned from a 1600 mile trip to Le Mans. I
had a spare. Kevlar-reinforced hoses are becoming available in the UK.
