re:cutting out

Check your fuel ump.  I had a similar problem.  I did a full tuneup and still
had the problem. It began as a high speed miss and then began cutting out long
enough for the engine to stall.  When it did, I check the fuel level in the
carbs and there was none.  A new fuel pump took car of it.
