The problem is that AOL provides handy little buttons for people to
click and report messages as spam.  But people who have signed up for a
mailing list, and don't want to be bothered to actually unsub, will
frequently just hit that button.

AOL's option to reject mail from a user is another pain.  If someone
clicks that on a message that came through a mailing list, the list
admin then gets a rejection message each time that sender writes to the
list.
